We met virtually those many years ago on the forums. The last thing I expected back then was that we would still be debunking all the same nonsense compounded with even more new nonsense in the present. I leave my story in comments when I come across misinformed articles or misinformed commenters - usually both - but much more so lately than before I am ridiculed or dismissed by a lot of know it alls who seemed to know better than everybody about everything. I've also called, written, signed petitions and taken up every call to action all these years when it ultimately feels almost futile.

I too moved from only tobacco liquids to a variety of flavors , fruits , bakery , cocktails etc.. Most of which I mix myself. I also build and wick my own coils. If it all goes south I don't think I'll have too much trouble with obtaining PG, VG, flavorings. Kinda hard to ban cotton and wire. Nicotine may become more difficult but that's easy to freeze and store. I'm far from needing a bunker but I'm pretty insulated I hope. If this sounds like me looking out for me - it is. Ten years of the same fight has taken a lot of the fight out of me.

Great read - thank you for having the fight left in you. Say Hi to JustJulie.
CheersSlighternoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-23037848913434821792019-08-10T15:34:18.940-07:002019-08-10T15:34:18.940-07:00Great Article Kristen. I can now play with my grandchildren without huffing and puffing. I am so sick of the lies perpetrated by others against vaping. In the beginning I used tobacco flavored e-liquid and now can't even stand the taste of it, but I do love my Strawberry, Pomegranate flavor. I'm worried about next year when I may not even have access to my vapes. With the amount of stress I am under I am truly afraid.Gigihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00379929396634918359noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-50000393001204168632019-08-10T09:00:09.737-07:002019-08-10T09:00:09.737-07:00This comment has been removed by a blog administrator.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04939664323593831764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-29766800639058869682019-08-10T08:59:04.007-07:002019-08-10T08:59:04.007-07:00I am a 74 year old vapor. My son-in-law introduced me to vaping in an effort to stop smoking the coffin nails, and I am still here to say that it worked almost immediately. From a pack/pack and a half a day habit to none done cold turkey was nothing short of a divine intervention, because I have used pipes, chew, patches, and gum in the past to stop smoking. None of which worked.
Now that I am an eleven year plus vapor, clear of my old habit, healthy as any 74 year old can be, lungs operating at 100% O2 saturation now with no COPD, no annual bout of pneumonia, smelling better, tasting food like food should taste, and here comes along the FDA. They, who are responsible for our health, bring some bullshit regulations to blindside a product on our “free market” that works toward a more healthy lifestyle. Smells like Big Tobacco money to me. But who am I? A nobody! Just an old man, in a small town in Georgia, and nothing more than a cry in the wilderness.
I am now retired, on a very limited income, but have a computer with Internet access, and a somewhat limited command of the English language; thus will go forth in the fight that if you want to get a vote from me, or any other human being with any common sense, you best be forthright positive toward vaping. I will put forth this message to all that I can. Your cancer money cannot buy this or silence this message as We The People are going to overcome.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04939664323593831764noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-16007662477480651042019-07-23T19:23:55.068-07:002019-07-23T19:23:55.068-07:00Excellent post and right on point, thank you!Excellent post and right on point, thank you!L.https://www.blogger.com/profile/00843293630285948691noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-81758193650460890102019-07-22T19:07:17.299-07:002019-07-22T19:07:17.299-07:00Great job Kristen! I stopped smoking! Everyone was so proud and happy but now I guess they are supposed to be horrified because of lies. I am lucky my closest people are well educated and have reasoned out for themselves that vape is so much better than BURNING a leaf stick and inhaling it which if anyone has common sense and sat too close to a campfire knows is a fact!! It is shameful what these public health groups are doing and it is no wonder few people believe anything they spout anymore!!Djohnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06952984508390633967noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8919556824856527344.post-31747605037797996072019-07-22T15:07:04.671-07:002019-07-22T15:07:04.671-07:00Thank you ma'am! Only in my first ecig did I use tobacco flavored liquid, and thats because its the only flavor they had. Once I upgraded to a refillable system I found the joys of different flavored liquids! My first was a pina colada. After that it was green apple, strawberry and many other flavors. As time went on and the flavors became more robust and decadent I've moved onto newer flavors including cereal based flavors, candy, desert, savory, etc.

I too am terrified about what I am going to do after May of next year. I've tried to cut back on the nicotine strength and I find myself getting agitated and irritable. I've been exposed to nicotine for so long my body depends on it for help in regulating dopamine (parents were/are heavy smokers. This was back when you could smoke everywhere, so if I was around my parents I was exposed to 2nd hand smoke. By the time I went to college I was addicted without being a full time smoker. After my first year of college I developed anger issues and had problems with subjects that I used to ace without even trying. It took me 3 semesters to start smoking myself, that was back in 1996). So here I sit, same as you, wondering what I will have access to come next year. Especially since my job has a lot of stress involved. I can only write my congress people and appeal to President Trump to stop this from happening as liberal courts rule against us every time.
